Case Study 3:
THE AUCKLAND BOTANIC GARDENS RAINGARDEN
The visitor car-park at the Auckland Botanic Gardens sees rainwater drain to the low point, adjacent to the library building. To contain and filter the run-off before it enters the stormwater system, a raingarden using Living Earth Raingarden Mix was installed. As well as cleaning up the water, the raingarden is used to educate the visiting public on how stormwater devices work - and how great they can look, even in a busy public space.
